The First Light of Public Education
Prior to 2003 B.S., education in Nepal was a luxury reserved for the ruling elite. The establishment of Padmodaya Secondary School shattered this exclusivity, becoming the first institution dedicated to educating the common citizen.
Named after the liberal Prime Minister Padma Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana, the school was conceived with a revolutionary vision: to create an enlightened citizenry capable of steering Nepal into the modern world. Today, it remains a symbol of accessible excellence.
